Since its creation in 2006 the BL BLAST OFF has continued to inspire kids through our unique events and strong focus on stoke and progression.

Blast Off provides an encouraging environment for Grommets (surfers 14 and under) and their families.

BL BLAST OFF began in Sydney, Australia and has grown internationally, built on a motto of “Coaching kids, not judging them”, BL BLAST OFF is accessible to all and doesn’t discriminate by gender or ability.

We received 305 videos from 22 countries in the 6 weeks we were open for video submissions and we gave away just over 90 prizes and packs to kids all around the world and the stoke is high!

The coaching was again a really strong component of the Blast Off and we want to thank our coaches Brad Gerlach, Philippe Malvaux, Beau Mitchell and BL for coaching every video submitted and the community for supporting and encouraging each other to achieve greater performance.
